OPEN DOORS · A COMMUNITY PROJECT

A next role.
A way in.

Good people offered to help after the HubSpot layoffs. Open Doors turns those offers and thousands of job listings into a practical place to start.

Paste your LinkedIn URL, review your background, and explore ranked roles with potential contact routes.

For HubSpot alumni
OPEN DOORSFind your next role
Open Doors showing the matching workspace, helper-linked roles and controls for experience and preferences.
The matching workspace. Your profile and preferences determine your results.

A community. A starting point.

201

public helpers

People who offered help to HubSpot alumni.

70

company job boards

Downloaded from company careers and recruiting sites.

5,003

helper-linked descriptions

Full descriptions are tagged once by function and level; saved tags narrow each applicant’s personalized review.

165

helper-linked companies

Every included role has an identified public helper.

FROM INFORMATION TO ACTION

The network is the starting point.
The shortlist is yours.

  1. 01

    Start with people

    Collect public offers to help, record what each person offered, and keep the LinkedIn source attached.

  2. 02

    Connect the evidence

    Link helpers to employer claims and company job listings. Keep uncertain relationships visible.

  3. 03

    Find your shortlist

    OpenAI Decisions evaluates full job descriptions against your experience and preferences, then ranks the roles.

WHAT YOU GET

A role to consider.
A next step to take.

A fit score helps you sort. The evidence helps you decide.

BUILT WITH OPENAI DECISIONS

A careful first pass.
One clear set of questions.

Open Doors uses Decisions twice: once to organize the job catalog, then to personalize each applicant’s ranking. All 5,003 helper-linked descriptions are preclassified by profession and career level. Multiple function tags preserve cross-functional work; unclear labels stay eligible. Treg supplies professional profile evidence, and Decisions suggests editable function and level selections. The app filters saved tags immediately, then reviews the remaining full descriptions against the applicant’s experience, location, pay and interests. No title-keyword exclusion rule is needed.

00 · Tag the catalog once

The taxonomy covers 21 named functions plus other/unclear, and entry, mid-career, senior specialist, management, executive leadership or unclear levels. Classification uses complete published descriptions. Tags carry a version and evidence hash, so only new or changed listings need reclassification. A blind review by a separate model on 300 stratified listings agreed with 97.9% of primary function labels and 92.8% of primary level labels, and retained 98.0% of the reviewer’s plausible function assignments. The broad filter retained all 94 promising Sales results and all 82 earlier Product results in full-catalog comparisons. These are observed checks against model judgments, not a guarantee for every applicant.

// Offline catalog preparation: one Decisions request per full description.
// Function and level choice questions define the primary tags.
// Predicate questions permit substantial secondary functions and level ranges.

  })
});
// Validate answer types and values before saving.
// Store taxonomy version + evidence hash; reuse unchanged descriptions.
// Primary confidence < 0.90, unclear answers or refusals keep a role eligible.
// Secondary probabilities >= 0.15 retain plausible cross-functional tags.
// Model confidence is a routing signal, not a measured accuracy guarantee.

01 · Send evidence and questions

One request per listing shares the visitor’s supplied professional summary, current preferences, published job facts and full saved description. A LinkedIn URL identifies the profile; it does not give us access to someone’s private network. The key stays on the server. The example questions below use a Product search; the selected function and level change the runtime questions.

const response = await fetch("https://api.openai.com/v1/decisions", {

02 · Turn answers into a shortlist

Decisions returns typed answers: rubric scores, fixed choices and probabilities. We validate their names, types and values. Clear position, level, location or qualification conflicts are excluded from the shortlist after review. Unknown facts stay visible for confirmation. The strict-pay option requires an explicit salary match.

const eligible = qualifications !== "clear_mismatch" &&
  positionMatch !== "conflicts" &&
  seniorityMatch !== "conflicts" &&
  locationStatus !== "conflicts" &&
  listingKind !== "conflicts" &&
  (!preferences.strictSalary || salaryMatch === "matches");
const promising = eligible && score >= 60;
// These checks happen AFTER Decisions reviews the description.
// A helper route is evidence attached to a role, not an AI-invented connection.

03 · Rank the eligible roles

The app combines AI answers with the transparent weights below. Experience carries the most weight; unknown dimensions receive a neutral value rather than an invented fact. Only eligible roles scoring 60+ are shown. Scores are fit recommendations, not hiring odds. The AI-ownership question is included only when the applicant opts into AI work.

const score = Math.round(100 * (
  0.40 * experienceScore / 3 +
  0.20 * preferenceScore / 3 +
  0.15 * positionScore +
  0.10 * seniorityScore +
  0.10 * locationScore +
  0.05 * salaryScore
));
// Choice-to-score mapping:
// matches / not_requested = 1; partial / unknown = 0.5; conflicts = 0.
// Location: fits / flexible = 1; confirm = 0.5; conflicts = 0.
// Experience and preference scores use four levels (indices 0–3).

04 · Filter saved function and level tags, then personalize

After filtering the saved categories, requests are grouped into batches of 160 descriptions with eight evaluations in flight. The browser continues through every batch and streams the growing ranking. You can stop a run. Timings are measured in the app; we do not claim a fixed full-catalog speed. Failed evaluations are reported and do not silently count as successful reviews. This orchestration excerpt is simplified; the request and questions above follow the current implementation.

// Instant saved-tag filtering: no API calls for this step.

const pool = functionPool.filter(job =>

// Broad career-stage compatibility avoids prematurely dropping plausible roles.
// Personalized Decisions checks exact level, location, compensation and experience.
